Movie Review-Bad Santa 2
Bad Santa 2 is one of the most disgusting and vulgar movies I've ever seen but, to tell the truth, it's also pretty funny. The movie reminds me of the feeling you get when you see someone slip and fall. You don't want to laugh but you just can't help yourself. Bad Santa 2 is the ultimate anti-Christmas movie.
In Bad Santa 2 Willie (Billy Bob Thornton) is back and he's reunited with his diminutive partner in crime Marcus (Tony Cox). This time though the duo is joined by Willie's mother (Kathy Bates) and they travel to Chicago to rob a community center of it's Christmas donations. The chunky, red headed kid, Thurman Merman is back and he's now 21, but still is as goofy as can be.
Oscar winner Octavia Spencer also has a scene in the movie as a street walker who Willie hires for Thurman for his birthday but, instead of "becoming a man", young Thurman is seen running from the room in horror.
Bad Santa 2 makes a mockery of all the things most people hold sacred at Christmastime. It's filled with foul language, graphic sex scenes and graphic nudity; which gives it an R rating. The movie's run time is one hour and thirty-two minutes. It's a guilty pleasure that, while shockingly vulgar, delivers som pretty good laughs.
On my "Hollywood Popcorn Scale" I rate Bad Santa 2 a MEDIUM. Hollywood Hernandez
