Viola Davis Wins Golden Globe

The 2017 Golden Globes were awarded last night in Hollywood where Viola Davis won "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in the movie "FENCES." From the TV category Tracee Ellis Ross won "Best Actress" for her role in "Black-ish."

 

“La La Land” emerged as the top film, winning awards in seven categories, including best motion picture, comedy or musical. ”Moonlight”,which chronicles the life of a young black man as he struggles to find his place in the world while growing up in a rough neighborhood of Miami, was named the drama film of the year.

 

The Golden Globes, voted on by Hollywood's foreign press, are usually an indicator of who the winners will be at The Academy Awards.
