FENCES and HIDDEN FIGURES Get Oscar Nods

The 89th Academy Award nominations have been announced and the movies FENCES and HIDDEN FIGURES both received nominations in the Best Picture category. Also, after last year's "blackout" at the Oscars, six black actors received nominations including Denzel Washington for BEST ACTOR in FENCES, Ruth Negga for BEST ACTRESS in LOVING and Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer both received nominations for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS in the movies FENCES and HIDDEN FIGURES.

The Oscars will be announced on Sunday, February 26 in Hollywood.
