Halle Berry's superhero film "CatWoman", which was universally panned by critics as one of the worse movies in Hollywood history when it hit theaters in 2004, may have gotten a bad rap according to the movie's star. Now, Berry is saying that perhaps the movie deserves another chance.
Speaking to an audience at the GLADD media awards Berry said, "Each story builds on the next. It's like that old saying goes: behind every Black Panther is a great black Catwoman!." "You know, I've gotten a really bad rap for this role, and I think Catwoman deserves another goddamn chance, don't you?" As the audience cheered, most likely more so from a few cocktails than from Berry's statement, the actress finished by saying, "I knew this room would understand."
She hasn't always been of the same opinion of her movie "CatWoman". Back in 2005 when she was accepting her Worst Actress Razzie for the movie, she said: "Thank you for putting me in a piece of shit, god-awful movie... It was just what my career needed."
