MGM's Creed II finished the weekend, behind Disney's Wreck it Ralph Breaks the Internet, with a massive, $55.8 million five-day debut. Creed II scored an "A" with CinemaScore audiences, an exit poll for audiences leaving the movie. Creed II's opening box office numbers were also $16 million more than the original Creed, which went on to gross $109 million domestically.
However, Wreck it Ralph was the big winner this weekend. The film sold over $84 million in tickets over the five day weekend, making it the second largest debut ever for a film released over Thanksgiving weekend. The movie was also a big hit with the public. It scored an "A" with CinemaScore from opening weekend audiences.
Dr. Suess' The Grinch was third and now has over $180 in box office receipts.
